Workshop: Responsible Research and Innovation in ICT (Karlsruhe, May 21st)
The International Workshop “Responsible Research and Innovation in industrial practice: the case of ICT for an ageing society” will be held on May 21st, 2015, at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany.
The event aims to address two key questions: What are the principles, methodologies and governance tools that can help industry to attain the RRI goals? What are the experiences of industry and other stakeholders regarding RRI practices?
Over the past year, the Responsible Industry Project has undertaken an in-depth analysis and consultation of stakeholders in Europe and worldwide aimed at identifying the critical elements that should be addressed to pursue RRI, focusing on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Services for an ageing society.
We would like to invite you to participate in this first dialogue initiative of the project. A draft Implementation Plan will be presented indicating how industry can work together with societal actors to integrate RRI into the research and innovation process.
The event aims to:
- Present the Responsible Industry project
- Illustrate the results of the stakeholders’ consultation
- Foster a dialogue on stakeholders’ principles, values and perspectives for RRI
- Discuss the draft Implementation Plan in ICT for an ageing society
